This new range arrives with two other groups, in 2x10 speeds and 2x11 speeds, which will progressively replace the X7 and X9 ranges, which are not so young anymore.

When we launched our road technology from scratch, we applied our mountain bike proven 1:1 activation ratio SRAM (shifter cable travel: derailleur movement) for a 10 speed rear shift. EA helps simplify/stabilize the complex action of balancing the rear derailleur hanger design, the limited sprocket space and the perfect cable tension.
