The 303 SW rim includes the Zipp AXS wheel sensor for accurate monitoring of bike tyre pressure. It allows you to monitor and analyse tyre pressure in real-time, without the need for an external device attached to the valve. Precise tyre pressure adjustment enables cyclists to optimise their speed and performance in a constantly changing riding environment. Before riding, check the pressure right away; a green light means you can go. During the ride, monitor the pressure to find the ideal setting and quickly detect any issues. The 40 mm high rim of the 303 SW is inspired by the 303 XPLR, which is specifically designed for gravel. It uses a wide rim for high aerodynamic efficiency and low rolling resistance on a wide tyre platform designed for modern riding with lower inflation pressures. The rim profile provides low drag and a better transition between rim and tyre, thus enhancing aerodynamic efficiency with wider tyres. The rim width also helps reduce tyre deflection, thereby reducing rolling resistance. The combination of a wider tyre, greater volume, and lower inflation pressure helps reduce rider fatigue by smoothing the ride over pavements and rough roads: the tyre-wheel system absorbs the bumps, not the rider. A new design and carbon composition have also allowed the already high-performing 303 SW to improve its shock resistance by nearly 10% for a reduced weight. The 303 SW is optimised for tyres 30 to 35 mm wide. The rims of the 303 SW feature a refined shape that protects the tyre from impacts, which would otherwise cause pinch flats. At the heart of it all is the ZR1 hub, which now features stainless steel bearings for improved durability and smoother performance.
